Many datasets owned and managed by the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), including most Vicmap products, are available for no cost through the Data.Vic website and are covered by the Data.Vic Access Policy.
Data downloaded via Data.Vic is released under a Creative Commons license.
You can share, copy, redistribute (in any medium or format), adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
Any Vicmap products not currently implemented by the Data.Vic Access Policy are available for purchase from the DTP network of official data service providers.

In general, data can be used for non-commercial purposes, but cannot be commercialised or on-sold.
Departmental datasets not available via Data.Vic can be accessed by approved users via the Spatial Datamart website.
