This World Water Day we’re celebrating those who collect, monitor and analyse water quality, water level and flow data across the state.
Did you know Victoria has 85,000km of waterways? Or that over 15 million megalitres of water moves through Victoria’s water system every year? That is more than eight times the water storage capacity for Melbourne’s water reservoirs.
This Sunday is World Water Day.
It is an opportunity to raise awareness around the importance of water and its conservation.
This World Water Day we’re celebrating the role of hundreds of people across our state who collect, monitor and analyse water quality, water level and flow data from over 2,000 sites across Victoria.
The data collected allows us to better manage our water resources now and into the future.
